It's horrible to hear about any death, but it's even worse when it is such a young child. One of the doctors at my internship had his daughter pass away on Friday. She was hit by a truck. When I came in to the office on Monday morning I could tell something was different, but the administrator didn't mention anything to me. I ended up hearing about it at school. The whole office has been impacted dramatically. Not only does the little girl's dad work in the Internal Medicine clinic, but her grandfather is a doctor in the Pediatrics clinic. Additionally, the driver of the truck is a cousin to the clinic manager at Seasons. It's going to be interesting to see how both practices will continue to function. I can't imagine having something so traumatic happen to me or my family, especially in sucha a small town. It will be interesting to see how Seasons Medical continues. I'm thankful that they are strong families who understand the gospel. My prayers are with them.
